The Music of Michael Kalisz
Described by Boston's 617Live.com as a "young, rising pop singer", and Stars2Come.com as "one amazing piano player and vocalist", Mike is no stranger to the stage. With his first public performance at only 7 years of age, he continues to impress audiences of all ages.
At 13 years old, he recorded his first single entitled "I Wish I Didn't" at Surefire Music Studios and it can be heard on Xtrasound Radio on the Live365 Internet Radio Network where it landed at Number 3 on their weekly chart. Now 16, Mike is working on other musical projects; most notably in the recording studio with the band, PUSH 4171.
Beginning to play piano on his own at only four years of age was the beginning of a musical journey that is still only just begun. As an invited performer at many schools, nursing homes, weddings, cocktail parties, on stage productions and community and civic events, Michael has been able to share his gift of music with all types of audiences. He has also been seen as a featured performer at the Feast of the Blessed Sacrament as part of the trio "Sugar & Spice" and at venues across New England as a member of the bands "Zero Gravity", "Pure Sarcasm" and now "PUSH 4171".
Mike was selected as one of only seven "Green Rocker Ambassadors" that perform throughout New England promoting GreenSchool initiatives, was the winner of the 2010 Young Performer's Club Music On & Up Showcase held at the Hard Rock Cafe in Boston and, in 2011, and was a 2011 finalist for the Piano Entertainer of the Year award at the New England Music Festival.
